Description

Since the mid-1990s the European Metalworkers' Federation (EMF) has developed an ambitious concept for a coordinated collective bargaining strategy. Collective Bargaining under the Euro – Experiences from the European metal industry presents a first evaluation of EMF policy after the introduction of the Euro. It includes analysis of the recent developments in metalworking collective bargaining in eight European countries (Belgium, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Sweden and the United Kingdom) and discusses from a national perspective the experiences, problems and prospects of the EMF approach.
