Description

The country reports contain, among other things, information on economic developments, current collective agreements and working time developments. These reports cover not only the EU member states but also Switzerland, Norway and a number of central and eastern European countries such as Bulgaria, Hungary, Slovakia and Poland. The collective bargaining report is a practical reference guide for trade unionists, employers, reseachers and all those with an interest in collective bargaining issues.

Special focus is given in the year 2000 edition to the impact on collective bargaining of the reforms of the pension systems which have taken place in several EU countries. Gender issues have also been dealt with, particular attention looking to achievements (and, in some cases, failures) in equality legislation and in national and sectoral negotiations on wages and working conditions.
