EMF Collective bargaining seminar  (2007)

Author

ETUI-REHS Education

Description

The main objectives of this joint ETUI-REHS Education and EMF seminar were to: broaden and deepen the EMF collective bargaining coordination strategy; investigate and analyse the current pressures on collective bargaining rounds and systems, including the ongoing trend towards decentralisation; and to discuss future perspectives of the EMF’s work on collective bargaining. A useful case study activity on coordination of local bargaining was tackled in working groups. In a mixture of presentations and working group discussions, the seminar addressed some of the major current debates at European level, notably on flexicurity, working time and modernisation of labour law.
