Trade union representatives from 20 countries affiliated to the European Federation of Journalists (EFJ) participated in a seminar in Budapest in April 2008. The course was organised by the Education Department of the European Trade Union Institute and focused on recruitment and organising strategies. The specific aims of the course were to evaluate and develop trade union recruitment and organising strategies and practices for union growth in the EFJ sector, and to analyse organisational change and steps towards overcoming resistance to these forms of change.
