ETUI-Education and the European Confederation of Police organised a seminar aimed at examining the state of play of social dialogue in the police sector at national level in the participants' countries (Bulgaria, Germany, Romania and Slovenia), exchanging best practices and discussing further cooperation between Eurocop's affiliated organisations. Working groups were then used to get the participants to discuss: objectives their trade union could try to achieve within the forthcoming year; the type of issues that would be most relevant to the workforce in the short term; the sort of action plan needed for attaining the objectives and tackling the issues; and how best to get reps and union members better involved at workplace level. Successful campaigns and materials on organising, wages, working conditions and health and safety at work were analysed.
