Description

This research paper, sponsored by the TUC's Unionlearn organisation, examines the relationship between learning and union organising in three very different workplaces in the UK: a National Health Service hospital, a small food company and a branch of an international finance services organisation. These in-depth case studies demonstrate that union-led workplace learning can encompass work-related and non-work-related learning and that both types can benefit learners and their employers. They also show that union-led learning can have a positive effect on union organisation as a whole.
