Description

This bilingual report is based on the proceedings of a conference organised by the ETUC in cooperation with migrant workers' support groups, associations concerned with domestic workers, women's organisations and labour supporting NGOs. Domestic work is one of the fastest growing economic sectors in Europe, but protecting and organising the workers involved is often complicated. The report provides examples of positive achievements and approaches by trade unions in various countries including a major success story by a union in the USA.
