Description

The training materials below were produced for a training course in Berlin (in October 2007) organised with and for the European Federation of Journalists. The participants tackled some of the main problems facing the trade unions in this sector, including falling membership levels, atypical contracts, employer hostility towards the unions, and inadequate sharing of information between journalists' unions on wage levels, working conditions, terms of employment and general industrial relations in their different countries. The conclusions present some of the concrete solutions they came up with.
