Description
The newly formed SE Works Council at ALLIANZ has 37 employee representatives from 24 different countries and they were the participants at this training course. To address the complex matter of differing national representation bodies, case studies were used to encourage the reps to present ways in which issues related to outsourcing, continuing training, working time, etc, were handled in their respective countries. Next, in working groups, the reps were asked to work out some common views on several cases illustrating cross-cultural communication issues that might arise in their work. And lastly, a comparative analysis of the ALLIANZ SE agreement with other existing agreements at EDF and Euronext (for EWCs) was used as a good basis for a discussion about the potential role, functioning and structures of the SE Works Council. The multilingual course materials are available for downloading free of charge.
