For many people in former Yugoslavia, including the author, the destruction of the unique multi-ethnic, multilingual and multi-religious state that was Yugoslavia was a personal tragedy entailing the destruction of the project for which he and so many others had worked so hard. This book describes the rise to power, the period of rule and the eventual fall of Slobodan Milo šević. It seeks to provide a comprehensive overview of the way in which Milo šević has ruined Serbia and destroyed Yugoslavia, while providing also a description of the current state of politics and the massive problems that the new government in Serbia now faces.
