Description
Throughout Europe increasing fears have been raised about employers relocating jobs to low-wage countries. Sluggish economic growth and continued high unemployment in much of the EU15, and low employment and income levels in the new member states (NMS) ex-acerbate these fears, and this has made relocation a hot topic in the media. Relocation (often referred to by the term delocalisation) has both an intra-European dimension and, against the background of the rapid growth of, in particular, China and India, a global dimension.
