European Employment Policy
Description
This ongoing project, which provides the framework for the ETUI's work on employment, will continue to monitor the development of the European Employment Strategy (EES), and follow selected developments in labour markets and labour market policy throughout Europe. Therefore this project is an "umbrella" under which the knowledge produced in many of the projects at the ETUI-REHS will be used to consolidate the knowledge that the institute already has and will develop in the area of employment and the European Social Model. An attempt will be made to pool results from many of the other research projects in the Programme Area, evaluating them in the light of their contribution to the goal, a key trade union concern, of improving the employment situation in Europe in both quantitative and qualitative terms. Possible themes for study under this umbrella include non-standard employment and disadvantaged labour market participants.
