Relocation of enterprises in the context of the EU
Description
This is an ongoing project which started in January 2006 and will end in June 2007. The project gives an analytical framework of relocation based on literature review, examines branch-specific aspects, reviews and assesses foreign direct investment and trade processes in the European framework, also taking the global context into account.
The start-up workshop was held in March 2006; 5 expert studies are being prepared. Expert contracts were signed in June 2006, first draft reports came in November 2006.
Closing workshop is due in June 2007 with the participation of external experts, trade union representatives from selected member states and other experts on the topic. 15 international participants and 10 participants from Brussels are expected to attend. A book publication is planned in English entitled 'Jobs on the move' by June 2007.
